Chad Sheffield is a senior human capital and technology leader recognized for helping complex organizations modernize how people and systems work together. Over more than two decades, he has guided global businesses through digital transformation, workforce innovation, and operational excellence, linking technology investment decisions with business outcomes. As Corporate Vice President of Talent & Total Rewards at Steel Partners Holdings, a global holding company, Chad leads enterprise-wide initiatives that integrate technology, talent strategy and performance systems across a diverse portfolio spanning industrial products, logistics, defense, energy and youth sports. He has architected scalable people technologies from performance and compensation platforms to enterprise recruiting and learning systems that harmonize operations across 14 operating companies. His work has driven measurable ROI, strengthened governance, and created a foundation for innovation across global teams.

Chad’s passion for technology-enabled transformation runs throughout his career. As Vice President of HR Shared Services at Serta Simmons Bedding, he led an enterprise HCM implementation covering payroll, timekeeping, recruiting, succession, and performance systems, while unifying benefits and compensation programs across multiple business units. Earlier, with EPI-USE America, a global SAP HR/Payroll consultancy, Chad led multi-national SAP HCM projects and advisory engagements helping clients design cloud, hybrid, and on-premises systems to support large-scale workforce strategies.

During nearly two decades with Acuity Brands, Chad advanced through leadership roles that merged operations, technology, and human capital strategy. He led a global SAP SuccessFactors deployment spanning seven countries and multiple languages delivering on-time, on-budget transformation that modernized HR processes, elevated compliance, and improved user experience. His foundation in LEAN and Six Sigma principles further informed his approach to process optimization, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Chad’s leadership philosophy centers on sustainable innovation ensuring that technology investments serve both people and performance. He believes that systems should amplify strategy, not replace it, and that design thinking and effective governance are essential to long-term business value.
