As a founding member of ADP’s corporate venture fund, Veni played a key role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy from inception. She has led high-conviction investments across vertical-focused HCM, the application of AI in tax and compliance, and innovation in workforce technologies across emerging markets.
Veni brings over a decade of experience spanning private equity, M&A and corporate development. Before ADP, she held leadership roles at Nextdoor (NYSE: KIND), where she drove strategic partnerships and acquisitions, developed international monetization strategies, and created a recession response adopted across the sales organization. Earlier, she was on the founding team at Explorer Acquisitions, a SPAC sponsor focused on enterprise software. She also held investing roles at Industrial Growth Partners and Palladium Equity Partners, executing middle-market buyouts in the industrial and business services sectors.
She began her career at Morgan Stanley AIP, evaluating private equity and venture capital managers, and later advised on merger and acquisition transactions in the industrials sector at Houlihan Lokey.
Born in India and raised in Singapore, Veni brings a global lens shaped by operational rigor, financial discipline and deep founder empathy. She holds a bachelor of science degree in commerce with a second major in Financial Economics from the University of Virginia and an Masters of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Based in New York, she is also an active angel investor, startup advisor, and board member of Engender Health, a global nonprofit advancing reproductive rights.
